We dropped off the motorcycle and hitch carrier with a moto-friendly camper at Panamint Springs while we toured around in the van a few days. Note that very high winds are not unusual in DV so the bike is secured to this post. 03-18, photo by Sherry
We moved the spare tire and box to thier normal spots on the rear bumper, regaining a lot of space inside. 03-18, photo by Sherry.

The story of Barker Ranch, where Charles Manson was captured in 1969. 03-18.
A beautiful location for a hideaway home. The notorious cult murderers had plumbing, and farm animals. There were chairs indicating they may have sat up here at happy hour enjoying the view as we did. 03-18.
This is what's left of the foundation after the cabin burned down in 2009. Joe was here before 2009 and saw the original ranch structures before they were destroyed. Photo by Sherry.
Charles Manson was a small man, and was found hiding in the bathroom cabinet. Joe would not have fit in there. 03-18, photo by Sherry.
Joe and I enjoyed canned beer and wine at the same location the Manson "family" likely did. 03-18.

Our campsite for the night of 03-18 boasts a concrete platform where we had happy hour, dinner, danced, and Sherry watched the stars in the early AM. Another vehicle came out of Goler Wash, revealing the road with his dust trail. 03-18.
We drove to Aguereberry Point, where you can see the both lowest point in the continental US (Badwater) and the highest point in the continental US (Mount Whitney). 03-19.
